Our Approach

Scarlet Road is dedicated to relational investment in each individual we serve. We strongly believe in the ability and strength of each survivor as well as the power of community surrounding them. We believe that sexual exploitation affects the mind, body and soul, and therefore requires a holistic support structure and we partner with key community service providers in our approach.

A Caring Community

Through our Outreach program our one-of-a-kind survivor-led education curriculum is taught in local high schools and to high risk populations throughout the Peninsula, offering a safe and effective avenue for youth to engage and seek support. Through our curriculum we have found that 1 in 30 youth on the Kitsap Peninsula have a connection of some kind to sexual exploitation.

We also offer a support line for those who are looking for help and provide outreach support services whenever a survivor has been identified or self-identifies within 24 hours.

Scarlet Road currently has the only drop-in center on the Peninsula offering a safe place for those looking for resources and support.

Our comprehensive aftercare services, modeled after Washington State's model programming recommendations, which includes intensive case management, mentoring, skill building, and holistic support toward client established goals. We know first-hand how challenging leaving can be and recognize and respect the high level of individual strength and resilience of each survivor we have the opportunity to partner with on the journey to healing. We offer trauma informed care with a high level of clinical expertise and experience, coupled with a deep understanding that healing takes time, trust and relationship.
