~ Live Music~

“STRINGOLOGY” presents the best in Vintage Classic Jazz, and Swing that, as the name implies, is all-strings! Hot jazz of the 1920’s, The Great American Songbook of the 1930’s and ‘40’s, Gypsy Swing — even Contemporary and Latin styles are showcased by the virtuoso guitarist ERIC BOGART— and the “rock-solid” rhythm back-up of TERIANNE STRATTON on ukelele, and TRACY BIGELOW GRISMAN on bass.

The influence of the legendary Gypsy guitarist, Django Reinhardt, who won acclaim for his unique guitar styling in 1930’s Paris, infuses every performance by “Stringology” with spirited excitement, passionate improvisation and pulsating rhythm. Eric Bogart has performed throughout the USA, in Europe and in South America, and with the trio “STRINGOLOGY” has performed in Seattle, Miami Beach, Victoria BC, Mexico, and regularly at many festivals and music venues throughout the Olympic Peninsula– their home base.

Kody Russell is the former Founder and Executive Director of Kitsap Strong, where he helped lead a community initiative focused on prevention of childhood trauma, building trauma-informed capacity, and community resilience. Kody has over ten years of experience working with children and families in the child welfare system both with the Department of Children & Family Services (DCFS) for over seven years and as a supervisor at Ryther Child Center in Seattle, a behavioral rehabilitation center for children with sexual behavior issues. He is one of 25 Washington State certified trainers in the NEAR sciences (neuroscience, epigenetics, Adverse Childhood Experiences – ACEs, & resiliency) curriculum that challenges our understanding of human behavior and many of the social and health challenges we see in our community. This science has changed how Kody views the world and inspired him to focus his passion and energy on helping communities flourish!
