Survivor Advocacy & Advisory Council

The Scarlet Road Survivor Advocacy & Advisory Committee (SAAC) is a dynamic group of leaders with lived experience of sexual exploitation. Through courage, insight, and wise counsel, members of SAAC help shape the direction of anti-trafficking efforts across our community and beyond.

Their voices bring powerful perspective to programs, policies, and public awareness—ensuring that survivor-informed solutions remain at the heart of everything we do. SAAC members collaborate, educate, and drive progress to create lasting, survivor-centered change.

By honoring their experiences and amplifying their leadership, we stand stronger in our commitment to justice, healing, and empowerment.

Getting Involved

Have a question about the priorities and goals of the council? Are you a survivor who wants to talk with someone who gets it? If you are a survivor who is interested in joining our council, please contact: pavingtheway@scarletroad.org

“We find JOY in the work that we are doing. It’s the only way to have the strength to do the work that needs to be done.  This is intentionally fostered at Scarlet Road at seemingly every step. I am so blessed to know and be in [this] collaborative community.”
